Living Well Model

The Living Well Leadership Model at St Basil’s Homes SA is a pioneering initiative in aged care, based on a ‘dyad’ leadership approach.

This model pairs a clinical leader with a non-clinical leader to co-manage small areas or ‘houses’ of residents and staff. Each house is co-led by a Living Well House Manager and a Clinical Care Coordinator, with their own hospitality, lifestyle, care, and clinical staff.

The aim is to provide care that feels more like living at home, while also enhancing job satisfaction and career progression opportunities for staff.
