Fees & Funding

We know that understanding aged care fees can be overwhelming. Our goal is to make things as clear and simple as possible for you and your family. If you have any questions, our team is here to help.

What Fees Might Apply?

Everyone pays:

  • Basic Daily Fee

Covers meals, cleaning, laundry, and everyday services.

Set by the government at 85% of the single aged pension. Adjusted in March and September each year.

Depending on your financial situation, you may also pay:

  • Non-clinical Care Contribution

An extra contribution towards your care, if required by your means assessment.

  • Accommodation Payment

Your room and all the things that come with it – including your furnishings and bedding. The government may pay some or all of this, depending on your means assessment.

  • Hotelling Supplement Contribution

For those who pay the full accommodation payment, this covers daily living expenses like food, cleaning, and utilities.

  • Higher Everyday Living Fee (optional)

For extra services or premium lifestyle options.

How Are My Fees Decided?

  1. Complete a government means assessment.
  2. The government tells us what you need to pay.
  3. You choose how to pay for your accommodation:
    • RAD: Refundable Accommodation Deposit (lump sum, refundable), or
    • DAP: Daily Accommodation Payment (interest-based daily fee), or
    • Combination: Part RAD, part DAP
