St Peters

Formerly a rambling, bluestone building with a marvellous history of its own, St Peters has been rebuilt to welcome our residents’ choice of lifestyle. It’s a boutique size facility on a 2085sqm corner site in a quiet inner-city suburb offering 30 private single rooms and one double bedroom each with ensuites.
The design of St Peters was guided by the Living Well vision; to encourage residents to use all areas of the facility, its gardens and café, with dignity and supported independence.

At St Peters, our residents can enjoy a cinema, chapel, community café, and lounge and dining areas with a magnificent fish tank. Outdoor decks overlooking a beautiful garden with a wisteria-covered pergola, chickens and elevated vegetable gardens encourage residents to spend time outdoors.

Facilities

The interiors throughout St Basil’s St Peters are designed to be dementia-friendly in colours and patterns that are reminiscent of the 1950s but with a contemporary feel.

Over an area of 1070sqm, the ground floor is home to 13 single rooms with ensuites, the multi-faith chapel, a large café named Kafe Zoi, reception area and internal courtyard. Services

St Peters is staffed around the clock with a dedicated team providing nursing and personal care services, an on-site chef, laundry and maintenance team.

Doctors, allied health practitioners, including physiotherapists, podiatrists, an on-site hair salon and local Chaplains attend St Peters on a regular basis to ensure our residents are able to maintain their best possible physical, social and spiritual health.

Activities

At St Basil’s St Peters, there are activities and facilities to suit everyone.

Kafe Zoi is set behind the leadlight glass of the original bay window and serves barista coffee and housemade treats. With activities such as vintage games and live art demonstrations, Kafe Zoi is a lovely space for residents, families and friends to spend time together.

A large deck accessed from inside via Kafe Zoi, leads to large landscaped gardens with wide walking paths suitable for wheelchairs and walking. A wisteria-covered pergola, BBQ facilities, raised vegetable beds and a large chicken coop adds to the activities and ambience of the gardens, along with various outdoor settings offering multiple rest and shaded areas. The site-wide call monitoring system ensures that residents can be located at all times (both indoors and out).

Through Kafe Zoi, or directly from the ground floor accommodation corridor, residents have access to an in-house multi-faith Chapel that seats 32 people. The Chapel has vaulted ceilings and expansive garden views, making it a lovely space for services and quiet reflection.

The lift to the basement opens to a large area that leads into a spacious gym, hair salon, a large hobbies/activities room and a ‘goldclass’ style cinema for 17 guests.

The little kind and caring things make such a difference, like our carer Tim who not only took a lovely photo of me, but framed it beautifully and gave it to me as a gift – thanks Tim!
